An early post for this month on my latest anime merchandise loot. It’s not much again but some of these things have been on hold for me for awhile so it’s great that I’ve finally received it after requesting shipping for them last week.

First up is the special 720ml pure rice sake from Bukou Brewery for Ano Hana (the town that the anime was set in). Bought three bottles of this which resulted in an expensive shipping cost via EMS (9,080 yen including Tenso’s commission fees!), luckily I wasn’t taxed for these when they arrived in Australia since there usually is a duty + alcohol percentage tax sent to those who import beverages online. To be honest, I was expecting to be taxed anyway and was prepared to pay but I guess customs quickly assessed the package and just let it pass through without any problems. Yay!
Just some relative details about the sake on the bottle label. August 23rd is the date for the “seizou toshitsuki” (製造年月 = production year). Strange that there isn’t an expiration date but I’m no expert on how long sake usually lasts for but I guess it lasts for quite awhile anyway (anyone know if there has to be certain ways to store them?). Alcohol content is 15-16% while rice content is about 60%. Probably gonna try out one bottle of this sake with a few friends sometime later 😛 and keep the other two for collection purposes. It would’ve been interesting if these arrived before Manifest and I decided to put one up for auction lol…well there’s always ebay if I do decide to put one up for sale.
The package from Bukou Brewery also came with some nice small plastic bags to carry the bottle and a brochure advertising their brewery and other popular types of sake for sale. Might come in handy if I travel to Japan someday and want to give their place a visit.
Next is the 2011 Awa Odori B1-size promotional poster done by ufotable. Unlike previous years, this year’s poster was commercially available to buy and all the money were donated to the Japanese people who were affected by the devastating earthquakes back in March.
Also got in WonderGOO’s store exclusive bonus wallscroll of Kara no Kyoukai if you bought its blu-ray boxset from them. I wasn’t expecting it to be this big but it looks amazing in this size, plus the usual satin fabric that is used for premium wallscrolls in Japan makes it look very high quality.
Up next is Tsutaya’s store exclusive bonus mini poster for Ano Hana’s ED LE CD single. Finally got the final poster part in as it forms one whole image if you also bought the single from HMV Japan & Tower Records.
And finally, an old item that is a metallic portrait of Shakugan no Shana season 1.
